Digital Technology Group

Free, weekly sessions in the Candide Discovery Studio for young people aged 12 to 20 to produce their own music.

The Digital Technology Group is an opportunity to produce your own music, either individually or as part of a group. You can use the well-equipped Candide Discovery Studio to record, write and perform grime, rock, hip-hop, classical, or any style you like.

The studio is open to the Digital Technology Group on Mondays during term time, between 4pm and 7pm. You can arrive and leave at any point during this time. The group is free to join by prior arrangement.

Software & Equipment

The Candide Discovery Studio has ten Apple iMac computers with a range of audio software including Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Reason, Garageband and Sibelius. In addition to this a good selection of microphones, acoustic and electric instruments are available for recording. Two rehearsal rooms are also available with access to PAs, recording equipment and many instruments.

Summer Term 2023

When: Weekly on Mondays, from 17 April to 3 July (excluding 1, 8 and 29 May) between 4pm and 7pm. Sessions are open access so you can arrive and leave at any point within the running time.
